The Commuter Alternative Program will be "gearing up" for National Bike Month with free bike checks and giveaways on April 26 at the Gift Plaza.

UNC-Chapel Hill is recognized nationally as a silver-level Bicycle-Friendly University. Eligible employees and students may join CAP to receive rewards for cycling! The University offers bike racks, repair stations, and 50% off a U-lock for registered bikes. The University introduced a bike share program, Tar Heel Bikes, in fall 2017.

The Tar Heel 10 Miler race will affect traffic on campus and in Chapel Hill the morning of Saturday, April 20. Impacts will include road closures and traffic diversions/detours.
